FIFA has announced the latest World Rankings before the World Cup. Spain is still on top meanwhile World Cup host Brazil took a step forward. But how does this reflect the World Cup?
There is an infographic (published by FIFA) which shows the teams with their World Rankings and it’s clear which two groups are the most challenging: D and E.
The highest average ranking is in Group D which contains Uruguay, Italy, England and Costa Rica. Group G is very similar as Germany, Portugal, USA and Ghana are competing for the advantage.
It looks like Argentina has the easiest way to the knockout stages as they face Bosnia Herzegovina, Iran and Nigeria.
