Romelu Lukaku’s first hattrick for Belgium and Adnan Januzaj’s debut has been wiped from the record books as FIFA ruled it was not an official international match. Marc Wilmots broke the rules as he made seven subs instead of the allowed six in friendlies. The FIFA ruling means that Romelu Lukaku’s first international hattrick and Adnan Januzaj’s senior debut is not officially recognised. Belgium made five changes at half time and broke the rules in the 77th minute when Nicolas Lombaerts replaced Jan Vertonghen as their seventh sub. So Lukaku and Januzaj have to wait for these achivements at least until the World Cup.
